Turiba University is the largest private business-school in Latvia. It was opened in 1993 in Riga. The University has a full state accreditation. It is an active member of the global, non-profit organization of educational institutions - AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Turība University was the first higher education establishment among Baltic and Scandinavian states which was awarded with the UNWTO accreditation. UNWTO is the United Nations World Tourism Organization which is in charge for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism. The University has been highly evaluated by the internationally recognized experts.

Turiba business school has more than 4,000 students currently enrolled, including international students from 43 countries. Five faculties of Turiba offer 25 study programmes in all major categories of degrees available for postsecondary students: bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. Academic degree programmes are available in business administration and international tourisms. Studies are held in Latvian and English languages. Studies are not solely based just on academic work and theoretical knowledge, but also give students practical skills to carry into the workplace.
